Knowledge Management System
Feature Rich
The Knowledge Management System (KMS) goes well beyond a "traditional" Learning Management System in that it caters for the full learning and compliance spectrum:
Various content options (SCORM & common file formats), granular assessment suite, compliance tracking & management, external training tracking & management, instructor-led training, video lessons, microlearning, infoboards, leaderboards, interactive group quizzing, certificates & badges, a knowledge base, performance management, moderation, personality profiling etc. comprise some of the many, many features on the KMS.Group quizzing with smartphone as controller

SCORM & Common Files
The KMS supports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, Tin Can API (xAPI) and cmi5, which are easily and reliably import into the KMS. Natively supported are also all common file formats, such as PDF and MP4. Why? Flexibility and measurability.
The simplicity of content authoring is furthermore substantiated by the fact that customers are no longer forced to use third party authoring tools. Instead, for common file formats the management of content objects is done on the KMS directly. Hence the reason why the KMS is one of the easiest platforms to manage!
Not limited to SCORM only - the KMS supports container based and common file formats natively.

Assessment Suite
The KMS comprises an assessment suite that goes well beyond the traditional LMS assessment capabilities. Assessments are built and structured on the KMS directly, therefore again negating the use of authoring tools.
Some of the assessment options and features include: multiple choice, free text, observational assessment, uploading of documentation, timed / untiled assessments, negative scoring, weighting, question grouping, questions based on text, video or imagery, various randomisation options, surveys, moderation etc.
Also, proctoring is supported in full, thereby ensuring that the learner behind the screen is truly authenticated.

Granular Reporting
What make the KMS’s reporting capabilities different is in the way that data is handled and managed. Traditional SCORM-only LMSs inherently do not comprise data structures that in turn severely hamstring reporting capabilities. Uniquely, Skypiom makes use of different data storage classes and techniques, resulting in granular recording and access to data, which in turn allows for an unrivalled reporting environment.
The KMS comprises a vast number of standard reports, which can be generated on a scheduled or on-demand basis.
Alternatively, and to allow for truly any reporting requirement, custom reports can be created through the Skypiom API based “Report Development Kit”, meaning that a customer can create, download and distribute custom reports as required by their organisation. Better and more comprehensive than any report generator, the Report Development Kit allows a customer or their development team to create custom reports that can even include data not contained within the KMS i.e. from systems beyond the KMS such as ERPs or CRMs.
Standard and custom reporting is a firm reality!

Compliance
Interwoven into the KMS is a Compliance Module that tracks CPD and other compliance items. Compliance may be tracked for any type of training intervention including eLearning, classroom or physical (instructor led) performances.
Training event data may be entered manually via the KMS user interface or automatically using the API. Any training events managed by the KMS are automatically integrated into the compliance module. CPD compliance may be tracked for multiple professions per user, with no limit in terms of numberer flexibility.
Comprehensive and detailed reporting is provided for managerial oversight and automatic email reminders are generated to individual users before they become non-compliant.

Integration
Skypiom’s out-of-the-box integration, data sync and single sign-on solutions are based on modern standards that make integration between Sage 300 People and the KMS simple to execute.
Integrating the KMS with a specific internal or third-party systems, such as Human Capital Information Systems, is an unassuming task and affected via an extensive API library. The said API library makes provision for various integration parameters and options, including SSO, data sync, webhooks, staging servers and the Report Development to name but a few, which Sage customers can leverage.
While SSO requires an identity record, such as Microsoft Active Directory or a Human Recourses Information System, to effect and verify, data sync i.e. the transferring of complete enrolments - for example - is effected via the API directly to Sage 300 People.
